Ramadan Qiyam was organised to equip the students with knowledge on how they can optimise the last 10 days of Ramadan.

Tying the Knot

Tying the Knot was organised to equip our participants with the basic knowledge of fiqh Munakahat and tips on finding the right spouse, in preparation for marriage. 

Qiyam 2019

The objective of the event was to assist Muslim students in their practice of night prayers and incorporating it in their lives. Students often juggle multiple obligations in their life, and the talk outlined the importance of managing the priorities and being steadfast in our responsibilities. 

Musafir's Guide

The event aimed to address the concerns of a Muslim when travelling overseas by ensuring the participants are cognizant of the different types of concessions available in Islam. 

Love Your Mind

Islam values the importance of good mental health and emtional wellbeing. The Qur'an can used as a guide to those suffering from emotional distress and aims to  lead people to a meaningful quality of life. 

Trials of the Ummah

Many Muslims may feel as if they are stuck in their own bubble, not knowing how they can help other Muslims in the world. The aim of the talk was to encourage attendees to actively strengthen our country‚Äôs social fabric and help Muslim communities beyond our borders in a fruitful way. 

Annual General Meeting

An overview of the events organised in 2018 by SMU Muslim Society was presented to the attendees. The meeting included handing over ceremony from the 5th Executive Committee to the 6th Executive Committee.
