The objective of the event was to assist Muslim students in their practice of night prayers and incorporating it in their lives. Students often juggle multiple obligations in their life, and the talk outlined the importance of managing the priorities and being steadfast in our responsibilities.
Islam values the importance of good mental health and emtional wellbeing. The Qur'an can used as a guide to those suffering from emotional distress and aims to lead people to a meaningful quality of life.
Many Muslims may feel as if they are stuck in their own bubble, not knowing how they can help other Muslims in the world. The aim of the talk was to encourage attendees to actively strengthen our country’s social fabric and help Muslim communities beyond our borders in a fruitful way.
An overview of the events organised in 2018 by SMU Muslim Society was presented to the attendees. The meeting included handing over ceremony from the 5th Executive Committee to the 6th Executive Committee.
